AI Models Show Strong Bias Toward Ravenclaw in Harry Potter Sorting Hat Quiz
Seventeen leading AI models underwent the official Harry Potter Sorting Hat quiz, revealing a striking preference for Ravenclaw. Eleven models scored a perfect 100% probability for the house known for valuing intelligence and wit. Claude Sonnet 4.0, GPT-4 Turbo, and Grok-3 were among those firmly in the Ravenclaw camp.
Only one model displayed any significant affinity for Gryffindor, the house associated with bravery. Slytherin and Hufflepuff were nearly absent from the results, highlighting AI's overwhelming bias toward intellectual traits over courage or cunning.
The experiment, conducted by developer Boris the Brave, sampled each question 20 times to calculate house probabilities. "Perhaps unsurprisingly, the vast majority of models prefer Ravenclaw," Boris noted, underscoring how AI systems prioritize analytical capabilities over other personality dimensions.
